I am Abigail Wangechi Ndegwa, a final-year Electrical and Electronics Engineering student at Strathmore University, specialising in Artificial Intelligence. My academic journey sits at the crossroads of STEM and the humanities a position I believe is increasingly vital in today's world. Beyond the classroom, I have contributed to building Africa's AI community: I have helped organise the global Deep Learning Indaba and IndabaX Kenya, and most recently co-launched the Kenya chapter of the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI). These experiences sharpened my skills in community mobilisation, mentorship, and cross-disciplinary outreach. As an ILC Ambassador, my mission is to reframe linguistics as an engaging system of logic puzzles for Kenyan students in high schools and universities making the discipline feel as natural to STEM learners as coding or mathematics. I am passionate about expanding intellectual horizons and building a thriving linguistics community across Kenya.
